It was great to hear the hype around how the Report Designer Add-In has revolutionised Sage Intelligence at Sage Summit in Washington DC this year. With the product only being announced in the roadmap sessions at Sage Summit 2012, and launched as an add-in for Sage 100, 300 and 500 ERP Intelligence Reporting shortly after, there has been a huge adoption over the year, leading to many raving Sage Intelligence fans.
It was extremely positive to hear customers and partners in many of the Sage Intelligence sessions and at the booth speaking out about what a great tool it is. The Report Designer Add-In has made the learning curve so much quicker, Erik Anderson from Edie Bailley remarked that “…because it’s in Excel so its quick to install, quick to train, quick to get a customer going on it but that’s kind of the tip of the iceberg stuff.”

It was encouraging to see that, reporting and BI were the biggest themes at Sage City and still remains the biggest opportunity across the install bases. I had the privilege of facilitating a Sage 100 ERP and Sage 500 ERP Reporting round table and got to hear customers share their reporting experiences and/or frustrations. I particularly enjoyed hearing some of our existing Sage Intelligence customers who have become product experts, sharing their experience with new reporting customers who are currently doing manual Excel reporting, using alternative reporting solutions or are still in the market for a suitable FRx alternative.
